My question for anti-gun friends and foes: what exactly is an assault weapon, and how do you define an “unnecessarily large” gun magzine? Seriously.

Welcome to the 2013 War of Red State Aggression. Today, state legislators in the (proudly red/taxpayer friendly) state of Wyoming declared war on the Federales in D.C. Their proposed legislation would protect gun-owners from the possibility of a federal firearm ban. The “Firearms Protection Act” bill would make any federal law banning semi-automatic firearms or limiting the size of gun magazines unenforceable within the state’s boundaries. And anyone trying to enforce a federal gun ban could face felony charges under the proposal. The proposed legislation also includes a provision allowing the Wyoming Attorney General’s office to defend any state resident against any federal firearm ban. Luckily, those of us who winter in Cook County, don’t have to worry – unless we see an uptick in violence in the hoods.
