Wisconsin Republicans caucusing in the 6th Congressional District voted “no confidence” in their state senator and assemblyman regarding the nationalized curriculum know as Common Core. The two Republican legislators are supporters of Common Core, and Gov. Scott Walker has been reluctant to fight the issue. The education bureaucracy and teachers unions in Wisconsin are generally in favor of the standards. The 6th Congressional District is north of Milwaukee, and includes Sheboygan and Ripon.
